Over the past several years, the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford University has worked with a wide range of stakeholders to develop a framework for social change: “Pathways of Public Service.” The pathways collectively describe a range of possibilities by which students can make a contribution to the common good. The framework includes six pathways: direct service, community-engaged scholarship, activism, philanthropy, policy/politics, and social entrepreneurship.  Sponsored by California Campus Compact and Campus Compact of the Mountain West.
